yesterday

yesterday was one of the greatest days of my life...ever!!!

i love my husband and going on dates with him {which we did yesterday}.

i ate lemon passion cake and smiled. huge goofy smile. i was in heaven.

i love talking with people who help me feel happy - no matter what!

i love eating warm baked goods, making said baked goods, and then pawning off all the extras to unsuspecting neighbors or visiting teachees. {this is of course a reference to the chocolate zucchini cupcakes i made, not the lemon passion cake because that was straight up from mac grill!}

i love amazing weather and sleeping with the windows open. this season rocks!

and of course, the culminating factor to the greatness of yesterday was that i got to hear my baby's heart beep for the first time!

in short, it was a day as near perfection as i have had in awhile.

i turned in my resignation with c.c. - february 18, 2011. what a beautiful day! i love february 18! i am quitting with the understanding that as special projects {that can done from home} or emergency situations arise, they can call me to see if i am available to help. they plan to have my replacement set three weeks before i head out, just so that she/he "can be properly trained on all things alisyn."

it is nice to know that i will be missed.

i really wanted to buy some pumpkins and carve them, but we haven't gotten around to it. which makes me feel sad inside. i doubt we'll have time this week...but perhaps a miracle will present itself. we seem to be experiencing a lot of those lately. :)

mad hatter halloween

we celebrated halloween mad hatter style this year. everyone was required to bring a hat which we used for some wicked rounds of der große dalmuti {the great dalmuti card game}. we enjoyed white hot chocolate, dark hot chocolate, and wassail "shots" and soft serve ice cream with waffle cone chips and an assortment of toppings. it's always such a pleasure to get together with good friends who bring so much love, joy, and support into our lives. thanks everyone!
